My epic dream story continued … if you missed the first part, search your e-mails for the e-mail from 2/1 entitled Yes, you can!
Where we were in the story … I was the least flexible and athletic person in Tina’s class and she had just asked me to join her yoga teacher training … I beyond shocked!
I felt really honored that she would ask me. She saw something in me that I didn’t see. That is what a good mentor does. They see our potential. They see beyond our limitations.
After about 2 weeks of sitting with the invitation and working through my shock at being asked, I realized that I really did want to do it, even though it seemed crazy.
I started to see a glimmer of what she saw in me. I have always had a deep interest in Vedic wisdom … I was raised with it and enjoyed teaching about it in the local temple when I was in high school.
I have been meditating on and off since I was 22. I know a lot of Sanskrit prayers. My grandma is a Sanskrit scholar. My Dad is a great purveyor of Vedic wisdom and performs Vedic wedding ceremonies. And, there’s so much more …
I jumped into the training with great nervousness and enthusiasm. I showed up with openness and a great attitude for every training weekend.
I got over my fear of teaching a yoga class, and I realized I was quite natural and good at it.
Tina also reminded me before and during the training that the physical discipline of yoga, the asanas, are only one of the 8 limbs of yoga, that there were 7 other limbs that were just as important, and I was working with practicing those as well.
This last weekend, I became a certified yoga teacher. I can officially put 200RYT by my name. And, I’m so proud.
It wasn’t easy to go for my impossible dream. And, I went for it anyways.
In fact, I didn’t even know I had this dream until Tina awakened it within me. For that, I’ll be forever grateful.
I’m telling you this story for several reasons.
First, I want to inspire you to dream your impossible dreams and go for them. If I can accomplish this impossible dream, you can accomplish yours too!
Second, I want you to know that my future communications with you will be focused on impossible dreams, Vedic wisdom translated into modern ideas, and the Yoga of Wealth. If these topics do not interest you, you can unsubscribe at the bottom of this e-mail.
Third, I’m here to support you the way Tina supported me, in finding the dreams inside you that you have long forgotten, or didn’t even know you had, and in making those dreams come true!
In the meantime, I’d love to get on the phone with some of you and ask you some questions. If you’re serious about making your epic dreams come true, and you want to help me help you do that, email kavita@epicdreamacademy.com and we’ll connect further.
Love and gratitude,
